Let’s be honest…that t-shirt you REALLY want is sometimes just a dream when it costs $120.  On the other hand, when we really want something, we sometimes bite off more than we can chew and spend hundreds of dollars on a few key items for our wardrobe.

“I like my money right where I can see it…hanging in my closet.” —Carrie Bradshaw

But what about for every day?  How can we pad our closets for the season and just use those big expensive impulse buys for special occassions?  Sometimes, it’s about going outside your comfort zone with where you shop, and buying for the wallet AND the look, not just for the latest and greatest from a fast-fashion shop, or a designer boutique.

Enter Target Style (@targetstyle).

While I was walking through Target a few weeks ago, I happened upon the Original Use Collection by Target Style.  I normally walk right by the fashion sections at Target, always believing that they were going to be plain or outdated (no real reason why, just how I thought!).  The display caught my eye, and I really enjoyed trying on a bunch of different items!  The best part?  It really did a great job with introducing fashion elements into the pieces!  For example, the graphic tees present some very similar graphics to some of the newest tees costing $48-$100 at other places.  Additionally, the use of mixed media tops and soft denim for the jackets makes for great fall layering options I really excited about!

All in all, I raided the section for a total of $130 for 6 pieces, including 2 outerwear (that’s $22 per piece!) and I’m really happy with the results!  Check it out below!  What places do you find your budget fashion?  Do you think you’ll find your favorite pieces for fall at Target?  Let me know in the comments below!
